Slavic warriors

Prince Buccinator (arb: Qanateer) was a Slavic Nobleman, who commanded the left wing of Byzantine army, consisting mainly of Slavic mercenaries ,during battle of Yarmouk, he was hired by Romans to march along coastal route and occupy Beirut, from where he was to attack weakly defended Damascus from the west to cut off muslim army at Edessa. On the second day of the battle he attacked right wing of Rashidun army and pushed Muslims back and caused them heavy casualties. Despite his army was finally outflanked by Muslim light cavalry on the forth day at Yarmouk and almost entirely neutralized, he was most successful commander of Byzantine army and made Muslims twice retreat.
