Dirar ibn al Aswar al Asadi aka the naked Warrior was a companion of prophet Mohammad , a commander of the elite cavalry unit of Rashidun army, the Mobile Guard and one of the greatest champions in Arabic and Islamic history; he was titled as the naked warrior because he used to fight without armour and is mostly known because of his heroic actions during battle of Ajnadayn against Roman Byzantines.

During early phases of the Battle the Romans dominated Muslims till Muslims came with a not very clever idea but effecitve enough to change the course of the Battle . They sent Dirrar to challenge Byzantine champions, dignity and hounor of Roman knights didn't let them to refuse to accept his challenge. Dirar overcame all of his opponents, he killed as many Roman nobles and officers( 30 according to Muslim sources!) as Roman army soon was out of officers and lost the control over their troops, what led to unexpected defeat of Byzantine.

Dirrar was finally captured in an unknown battle during conquest of Syria and killed by Romans.
